Full Description
Various Roman finds found by metal detector. Enamelled disc brooch, some damage. Central cone with circle of six yellow enamel dots separated from outer ring of blue enamel dots by inscription. Possible lid of small seal box bearing male bust facing right. Part missing. Large spherical steelyard weight with traces of iron attachment loop. Four sherds of Samian ware pottery, one with a lead staple repair. Head and part of bow of brooch. Flattened profile with low stud on head. Zigzag pattern on bow. Pin, spring, foot and catch-plate missing. Bow brooch. Head turned sharply backwards with moulded decoration including ribbing (four ribs). Prominent flattened central waist bead. Small rectangular 'plaque' damaged around edges with recessed window in which stands a moulded three dimensional standing robed figure which is attached to the plaque. (1)
