Summary

Possible Roman ditches forming the edges of a trackway or land divisions. The two ditches run parallel to each other and are cut by land drains and possible ridge and furrow. Three unabraded sherds of Romano British pottery were found in one of the ditches.

Full Description

2 N-S aligned linear ditches (no.s 50 and 36). Ditch 50 was 0.5m wide with sloping sides and a U-shaped base, containing silt and sand, with small sherds of unidentifiable pottery. Ditch 36 had near vertical sides and a rounded base, with a clay silt fill and 3 unabraded sherds of Romano British pottery. The two ditches run parallel to each other and are cut by land drains and possible ridge and furrow. Possiby Roman in origin forming the edges of a trackway or land divisions (1).
