Full Description
7 E-W aligned shallow and uneven gulleys, c.0.5m - 2m wide with broad flat bases and sloping uneven sides c.0.20m max depth. Contained some post medieval pottery. Interpreted as possible ridge and furrow. Also group of 5 shallow linear gulleys with silted fills c.0.70m wide and 0.10-0.15m deep with steep sides and shallow flat bases. Interpreted as a network of drainage gulleys. Also 21 post holes identified - subcircular and square cut. Considered to be late in origin, as not truncated by ploughing. Probably relate to land divisions dating to the post medieval/ modern periods (1).
