Summary

Documentary evidence for a croft, first mentioned in 1330 and again on the Tithe Map and Apportionment of Bold, 1840. Tithe Maps were produced between 1838 and 1854 and they record the names of owners, tenants, and values of property in each parish. They were created to establish taxation rates

Full Description

Barrow is mentioned in 1330 when a messuage in Bold called the Barrow was given to Henry son of Alan de Barrow and Margary his wife , with the remainder to Alan's brother Ellis. By the mid 15th it had passed to the Bold Family (1) Barrow Green Croft is recorded on the Tithe map and apportionment of Bold 1840 (2).
