Full Description
Watching brief at rear of showhouses (area 1) revealed features cut into natural. Large rectangular feature is c.5.60m long and c.2m wide and at least 1.5m deep. Angle of layers within feature suggest it had been deliberately backfilled from the north side. 1 sherd of late medieval cistercian ware recovered from upper fill but no reliance can be placed on this. Indeterminate date and function (1).
