Full Description
Flat copper alloy casting in form of openwork interlaced serpent(?). A deteched serpents head (snapped off) is biting the coil at one end. Characteristic urnes art style of Scandinavian origins. Cast in open mould; flat on reverse side. 11th century. L 43mm x 20mm. Found by metal detector (1)
