Full Description
Bronze ferrule from knife handle. Oval section. Groove encircles the open end, now containing a rusted concretion. Tip of ferrule has two projecting lugs in the form of a mask with human and animal features (satyr) but also possibly a cat. Late medieval date. Found by a metal detector (1).
