Bronze dropped bar terret (rein ring) - a simple form of Roman terret (1st to 2nd century). Terret rings are parts of the harness designed for reins to pass through to allow contol of one or more horses, particularly on chariots or carts.

Bronze dropped bar terret (rein ring) - a simple form of Roman terret (1st to 2nd century). Length 5cm, maximum external diameter 3.8cm. Found by metal detector (1).
