Summary

A group of four buildings with two cottages to the East are shown on the 1837 Tithe map for Lymm positioned around an open space which may have been a Green. An adjoining fieldname indicates a watermill was formerly part of the group. The settlement has now been demolished, the farm buildings lying in waste ground, the cottages and mill site were probably destroyed by the construction of the M6, This site also appears on Bryants map of Cheshire, 1831.

Full Description

A group of four buildings with two cottages to the East are shown on the 1837 Tithe map for Lymm (1) (No's 795 & 797) distributed around a large central open space, possibly a green. An adjoining fieldname indicates a watermill was formerly part of the group (See 2731/2). The settlement has now been demolished, the farm buildings lying in waste ground, the cottages and mill site (see 2731/2) probably having been destroyed by the construction of the M6 (2). Site also appears on Bryant's map (3).
