Summary

A circular cropmark discovered during aerial survey in 1986. At the time of discovery, this was interpreted as a possible prehistoric ring ditch. However, this cropmark appears to coincide with a marl pit depicted on historic maps.

A cropmark of a possible ring ditch is visible on this aerial photograph.

The location of the ring ditch coincides with a marl pit depicted on an Ordnance Survey map of SJ6586 (see 3).
