Cottage, mid seventeenth century, with brick-nogged oak small-frame on sandstone plinth; grey slate roof, formerly thatched. Brick extension of one bay to rear. The frames of the long side walls (the gable is to the road) are almost complete, with Roman numerals to timbers at joints. The front has been rebuilt twice: in brick nineteenth century and restored to oak frame late twentieth century. The interior: is altered, but with positions of lobby-entrance and former ingle-nook visible, and main oak beams re-used.
