Full Description
An inquisition of 1355 dealing with the highway between Warrington and Northwich refers to 'the Manor of the Town of Appleton and so between the Hall of the said Manor' etc (1). No further references to a possible manor at Appleton. Present Appleton Hall situated at SJ.61848458 is modern and no trace of an earlier building can be seen incorporated in the structure (2).
