Summary

Human remains were found here 1843 and 1845 and later investigation uncovered a stone slab above human remains but no traces of coffins. These remains were uncovered in a croft at the back of Plague House, Wash Lane and it is suggested that these discoveries are the result of a hasty plague burial. However the details also suggest a prehistoric burial.
