Find Spot record 518 - Prehistoric flint knife, Lymm

A late Neolithic or early Bronze Age Flint Implement was found in Lymm, in December 1971. It is in private possession (1). Late Neo/early Bronze Age Plano-Convex Knife of pale grey brown flint. Length 5.2cms worked from a blade and retouched for scraping or cutting. One edge has heavy wear or possibly an inverse retouch.There is a possibility that the knife was imported with topsoil brought from Sale (2). Second find in 1979 in same location, of a flint scraper (3)
