Finds of 5 silver coins, one a shilling of Elizabeth I & the others coins of James I & Charles I. Found under hedge bank in Red Lane, Appleton in 1861. Associated with Civil War skirmishing in 1643 (1). Exact provenance uncertain. Red Lane extends from SJ 61198498 to 60968559. No records in Warrington Museum (2).
