Summary

Two silver coins of Robert Bruce (1306 - 29) found a garden in 1820. At another time 15 coins of Edward I (1272-1307) and II (1307-27) were found. The coins are now in Warrington Museum.

Full Description

Two silver coins of Robert Bruce found in 1820 in John Booth's garden at Stockton Heath. At another time 15 coins of Edward I & II were found - 1 Bristol, 1 Canterbury & 2 Berwick halfpennies & 1 Berwick & 7 London farthings (1). Coins are in Warrington Museum & are described as having been found many years ago in a garden at Wilderspool. No precise find spot & no address for John Booth (2).
