The only salt works still in use, a vacuum works with remains of older works to west and name 'SELVA' on one of two circular brick chimneys. Marked as Wincham Works (Salt) on OS map of 1882. The nearby Sunbeam saltworks were in use as an open pan plant with brine pumped by horizontal steam engine until about 10 years ago (1).
