Summary

19th century railway embankment west of Verdin's Cut, presumably built for the Winsford and Over Railway. The Winsford and Over Railway, opened in 1870 and was later taken over by the Cheshire Lines Committee. It had closed by 1930 and all the track was then removed. The only trace are the embankments, cuttings and footpath along the original route.
