Summary
Railway Signal box built by 1869 following the completion of the junction of the Cheshire Lines Committee's Northwich - Chester Railway with the London and North Western Railway Line to Sandbach. The line to Sandbach was opearating a goods only service by 1970.

Presumably built by 1869 following the completion of the junction of the Cheshire Lines Committee's Northwich - Chester Railway with the London and North Western Railway Line to Sandbach (completed 1837). (1) By 1970 the line to Sandbach was operating goods services only. (1)
