Summary

Probably built by 1870 following the completion of the junction of the Cheshire Lines Committee's Northwich - Chester Railway and the branch to Winsford. The line to Winsford was no longer in use by 1970 though the signal box is still present. The Cheshire Lines Committee was set up in 1865 and was responsible for the creation of a series of railway routes linking the west of the county around Stockport and Knutsford to Northwich and Chester.

Full Description
