Summary
Signal Box presumably built by 1869 to serve the Cheshire Lines Committee's Northwich to Chester Railway. The Cheshire Lines Committee was set up in 1865 and was responsible for the creation of a series of railway routes linking the west of the county around Stockport and Knutsford to Northwich and Chester.
