Full Description
The 1695 estate map and the 1845 tithe map both mark this field as Potters Croft. The field is currently in use as a private airfield. In walking along the footpath adjacent to the field a heap of rubble was located by the fence in the NE corner. This consisted mainly of clinker with some fragments of pottery, and had presumably been raked from the field when the runway was created. However no date has been obtained from the remains (1).
