Summary
Bronze palstave which dates to the early Middle Bronze Age. c.1450-1250 BC. A palstave is a type of bronze age cast in a two piece mould. It has flanges to allow a wooden or bone handle to be hafted to the axe and a ridge in the centre to stop the handle being forced forwards during use. Some types have a loop to aid the hafting.

Full Description
Bronze palstave. No clear parallels from Wales or NW England. Unlooped, so early Middle Bronze Age. c.1450-1250 BC. Found c. 1 foot down in dense clay (1).
