Summary

Evidence of the Monk's Cemetery was found in the angle of the choir and north transept of the Vale Royal Abbey during Pendleton's excavations. Further burials were found within the church though these may have originally been outside, before the east end of 1359 was added.

Evidence of the Monk's Cemetery was found in the angle of the choir and north transept during Pendleton's excavations (1). Further burials were found within the church Thompson though some may have originally been outside, before the east end of 1359 was added (2).
