Summary

The Church of St Mary is Grade II listed. It is late medieval and was refaced in 1728 and altered again in 1874-5. It has brick walls and a plain tile roof. Inside eight octagonal wooden piers remain in the nave of 15th century date.

Full Description

Church of St Mary, Whitegate Road. Late medieval refaced in 1728 and altered again in 1874-5. Red English garden wall bond brick with plain tile roof. Nave with side aisles, chancel and western tower with south-west vestry, and tower dating from 1728. Interior: eight octagonal wooden piers remain in the nave of 15th century date (1).
