<1> Various, Written Communication to the HER, Tindall A S, 1992 (Written Communication). SCH3756.
A Watching Brief during construction work at the rear of 31-37 Chester Road, Castle identified Roman deposits in the foundation trenches at a depth of c700mm below the present ground surface. Interpretation was not possible due to limited area available for examination. 4 sherds of Roman pottery were recovered, including a large piece of Greyware.
