Full Description
Dodds Charity Almshouses and Garden Wall. Formerly listed as Alms houses. Late 17th century. Red Flemish bond brick with red sandstone ashlar dressings and red sandstone ashlar with palin tile roof. Two storeys. Entrance front - five bays symmetrically disposed. Building of two phases, a later wing having been added at right. Adjoining the later wing at the rear and forming a rectangular garden enclosure is a wall of coursed ashlar c.3 ft high with a chamfered coping (1). Full architectural description (1) and (2).
