Summary

Grade II listed barn at Kinderton Lodge. It was built in the late seventeenth century in red brick. It is a very large 5-bay corn barn. The roof may be late medieval and appears to be reset on seventeenth century brick walls.

Barn at Kinderton Lodge. Formerly a Shippon, now a Barn. Late 17th century. Small red bricks in English Bond with corrugated asbestos - cement roof sheets. Interior: original wallplates, purlins and beams.

The barn was visited on 01/01/1988 by R.C. Turner who described as a very large 5-bay corn barn with fine tiebeam and twin collar roof, with queen studs & wind braced purlins. Roof appears to be medieval in date and reset on seventeenth brick walls.
