Full Description
Poplar Tree Farmhouse, Helsby Road. 1684 altered and extended, of painted brown brick on sandstone plinth; grey slate roof. Cyma stone band at first floor and at base of front gable. Band of raised diaper-work beneath eaves. Stonein front gable inscribed lE:L : 1684. Interior: altered. Overmantel in rear room of cross-wing probably late 17th century (1).
