Summary

Poplar Tree Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building. It was built in 1684 and altered and extended in later centuries. It has a painted brown brick exterior on a sandstone plinth with a grey slate roof. A stone in the front gable is inscribed "lE:L : 1684"

Full Description

Poplar Tree Farmhouse, Helsby Road. 1684 altered and extended, of painted brown brick on sandstone plinth; grey slate roof. Cyma stone band at first floor and at base of front gable. Band of raised diaper-work beneath eaves. Stonein front gable inscribed lE:L : 1684. Interior: altered. Overmantel in rear room of cross-wing probably late 17th century (1).
