Summary

Lea Hall is a Grade II* listed small country house, now subdivided into three flats. It was built in the late 17th century/early 18th century. It is red brick with ashlar dressings and a plain tiled roof. The house was built for a member of the Verdu family, there is a crest over the doorway with the initials JV to either side. Full Description

Lea Hall, Off Nantwich Road. Small country house, now subdivided into three flats. Late 17th century/early 18th century. Red Flemish bond brick with ashlar dressings and plain tiled roof. Two storeys, with attic and basement. Entrance front - five bays symmetrically disposed. Projecting plinth with moulded top. Chamfered quoins to corners and to slightly projecting central bay. Cyma-moulded string course between floors and 19th century terra-cotta cornice at eaves level with egg and dart moulding. The central bay has a painted ashlar door surround with arched panels and scrolls to the jambs and a swan's neck pediment above with a crest to the centre and initials JV to either side.
