Full Description
A complex of cropmarks were clearly visible in a sloping & undulating field of barley on 24 July 1980. They appeared to consist of agricultural drain lines which had been cut through ridge & furrow & part at right angles to it. The ridge & furrow stops against the cropmark of a long, narrow, curving ditch which is triple for part of its length. Two short lengths of ditch also run diagonally across the ridge & furrow into the main ditch, which appears to be interrupted. The cropmarks probably all represent drainage channels dating from various periods (1). For SPs, see Utkinton l, 4-6 (2).
