Summary

Done Recreation Room is a Grade II listed building. It was originally a school and has a datestone of 1636. It is built of red English bond brick with a stone plinth and cornerstones. An inscription reads "This school, erected in 1636 by Dame Dorothy Done and endowed by Mrs John Done in 1662 was thoroughly repaired by the Trustees under the Will of John Arden Esq deceased in the year 1830.

Full Description

Done Recreation Room, Off High Street. Former school, dated on datestone 1636. Red English bond brick with ashlar plinth and quoins and slate roof. Inscription - "This school, erected in 1636 by Dame Dorothy Done and endowed by Mrs John Done in 1662 was thoroughly repaired by the Trustees under the Will of John Arden Esq deceased in the year 1830.
