Monument record 719/0/6 - Condate - Pottery from Navigation Road

1882 - During construction of the New End Cottages, Navigation Road, neck and handle of a small red ware jug and an inscribed rim of a mortarium were found. Also 'cartloads of broken pottery, many of which were said to bear flowers and other decorations upon them' were found and used to fill up ground sinkage near the river
