Find Spot record 703 - Roman cremation Urns from Hartford

Several Roman urns found near Hartford railway station. Two are in Warrington Museum, one of which, found in 1834, is 5.75ins tall & 4.75ins wide across the mouth. The other, which was found in 1934, is 7.6ins tall & 2.8ins wide across the mouth. Two others are in possession of the Hist. Soc. of Lancs & Cheshire (1). 2.5km west of Roman fort at Northwich but usually associated with it (2). Illustration of urns (4).
