Full Description
The Cottage (north-east side), Aston Lane. House, late 16th and 17th century altered. Oak frame partly rebuilt in rendered brick on partly exposed sandstone plinth; graded grey slate roof. Late 16th century cross- wing left of two storeys has gable with herringbone struts. 17th century long wing to right has some small framing. Interior: much of the internally visible oak frame survives in the cross-wing, uncluding the roof structure of unwrought timbers (1). Full architectural description (1) and (2).
