Full Description
Roman road, near the junction of Stoney Lane with Station Road (which leads from Delamere Railway Station to the Abbey Arms). The Roman road was cut through in laying the Liverpool new water main pipes (Vyrnwy Aqueduct) and the evidence of the engineer, shows that the gravel, which was of considerable depth, was mixed with broken stones (1).
