Full Description
In the surrounding fields hundreds of Mesolithic to Bronze Age flint implements have been found, in Alvanley Cliff Fields, Town Field Lane, Manley, Woodhouse Hill Fields, Riley Bank & Bradley Camp Fields. Finds include 5 Neolithic leaf-shape arrowheads found in 1954-7 in the Frodsham area. Flints are not accurately located, but most are marked with field names. All were donated to the museum in 1957 & given one accession number-75.P.57. One flint is bagged under CC376-Woodhouse Hill, but the accession book records that this number relates to various worked flints from the Tarvin district & 2 pot boilers, so is obviously an error (1).
