Full Description
A pewter handled ampula, or pilgrim's flask, decorated with a scallop shell and a Catherine wheel. The scallop sheel suggests an origin in the shrine of St James of Compostella in Galicia, Spain. Also many pot sherds found. Found within the area formerly occupied by the chapel and Elizabethan garden of Dutton Hall (1).
