Full Description
Roadside Wall and Gatepiers and the west Terrace Walls of Utkinton Hall. c.1700 for Sir John Crewe with 20th century additions. Tooled ashlar sandstone raised with drystone rubble walling. At the centre are a pair of tall gatepiers. Between is a low blocking wall of stone-coped brick of an early date. The stone wall turns to form a revetment wall to the west terrace in front of the house. The terrace carries a stone-coped brick wall with a narrow gateway. Full architectural description (1).
