Summary

Grade II listed row of 3 houses with former weavers' garret over dating to around 1830. They are now 2 houses with commercial premises above. Built of brick with a Welsh slate roof. There are three doorways towards the centre and the middle door gives direct access to the staircase serving the upper floor only The garret floor is undivided and lit by three long windows. The building is of special interest as a rare example of a type of weaving workshop and terraced housing in which the garret is not accessible via the houses.

Full Description

Row of 3 houses with former weavers' garret over, now 2 houses with commercial premises above, dating to around 1830. Brick with Welsh slate roof. 3-storeyed, 4 window range. 3 doorways toward center, the central doorway giving direct access to the staircase serving the upper floor only. 2-pane sash windows each side of doorways. Blocked doorway to left. Undivided garret floor lit by three 3 light long windows, former horizontally sliding sash windows, but now renewed in original openings. Axial stacks. The building is of special interest as a rare example of a type of weaving workshop and terraced housing in which the garret is not accessible via the houses (1).
