Full Description
A perforated stone pebble hammer or macehead, found whilst ploughing in field which contains enclosure C of Arthill Heath Farm, no exact findspot recorded. Circular with hourglass perforation. May date from Mesolithic to Iron Age. Photograph (1). Size: 10cm x 11.1cm x 3.3-4.3cm thick with damage and wear marks. Possibly used as a net sinker, gate weight or horse tether weight (3).
