Place name evidence for a Roman Road. The field name Street Hey field appears on the tithe map for the township of Bollington (in the parish of Rostherne). Street Hey field name shown on Tithe (see 2). If the crossing point on the River Bollin is aligned on Chester Road south of the M56 interchange, where the road has been slightly diverted, the line of the Roman Road runs through this field.
