Full Description
Saltersford Hall and attached Farmbuildings, dated 1593 but larger part appears to be late C17 with C19 alterations. Partly rendered coursed squared buff sandstone rubble and blocks. Stone-slate roof. Stone ridge and two stone and one brick chimney. Farmhouse is L-shaped and has a two-storey, three-bay west front. Central doorway has low segmentally arched head with a moulded triangular pediment above, containing initials HF. To right is date stone. Interior: Some exposed beams visible. Farmbuildings form a south range with shippon and hay loft attached to house and a corn barn and further shippon to the west. Openings have long and short quoining and a mixture of stone and wooden lintels. Interior: Some original tiebeam and collar trusses visible (1). Detailed history and description of hall (2).
