A roadway is reported by W Norbury to have been found somewhere on the Mobberley side of Lindow Moss by a Peter Cash. This was formed of logs of timber placed end to end, with sleepers across, laid close together and is said to have continued for some length up the moss. Norbury argues that this supports his theory that the Moss is "post-Roman" in date.
