Full Description

A building of about 1812, now a residence, with the remains of a pool adjoining the Chapel House Inn.

Mill building (now used as a house). Nineteenth century. Red English garden wall bond brick with slate roof. Two storeys with basement. Entrance front: three blocked doorways, one to right of centre, and one each to right and left, each with splayed heads. Three two-light casement windows to ground floor, two to left of middle doorway and one to right, each with three by four panes to each light. Three correspondingly positioned windows to first floor. One two-light basement window to left. Nineteenth century porch abutting to left and twentieth century porch abutting to right. Gabled ends with two-light casements to first floor. Extensive nineteenth century and twentieth century additions to rear.

The water mill stood on the stream north west of Mobberley Station. References date from 1819.

This building is not depicted on this map. Instead the area contains the mill's (located to the immediate east) tail race and is described as an orchard.
