Full Description
Built in 1776 by Charles Roe, to grind copper at his Macclesfield Works (1). The windmill was later moved to Kerridge, sometime in the mid 19th century, to grind corn. By the early 20th century it was derelict, and its sails were gone. the tower was demolished during the Second World War, and the stone used to pave an airfield (2 & 3).
