Full Description
Neolithic stone axe, found in 1888 by Mr Richard Dunn in a small sandhole, 300 yards above the reservoir, on the right-hand side of the road from Macclesfield to Macclesfield Forest. Axe in private possession (1). The site referred to may be an old quarry hole, in sandy soil, 25m x 10m (2).
