Full Description
Raised area within block of conifers. Roughly rectangular earthwork which appears to be the layout of a house. However the landowners can recall no house ever being on this site. Martin Lea also reported finding cobbles while digging a trench in the wood but outside the earthwork. Ditches run out of the feature and a track runs from the farm to end at the wood. Good site for a house - well drained ground (1).
