Full Description
<1> Various, Various, Oral communication to the HER, Turner RC & Bott OJP, 1983 (Oral Communication). SCH2330.
Two rough standing stones. One metre high and slightly tapering. At present used as gate posts or rubbing stones, but possibly earlier origins.
<2> Various, Written Communication to the HER, Crowe C, 1994 (Written Communication). SCH3756.
Two standing stones which are gateposts in their original position if on the line of a now vanished field wall. There are two more of these pairs of posts 150m to the north of these in the same field. The field system which was replaced by the enclosures now in existence was of some antiquity and the posts may be of some interest in that context.
<3> Bluesky International Ltd, 2010, 2010 Bluesky Survey, UXP_101017_7147, 17/10/2010 (Aerial Photograph). SCH5444.
The stones, identified from their shadows, are visible on these images.
