Summary

Grade II listed farmhouse. The rear range dated 1662 and the front range is dated 1773. They were both for the Brocklehurst family. It is a two-storey Georgian house with a symmetrical front built of coursed square, sandstone rubble and sandstone dressings.

Full Description

Farmhouse. Rear range dated 1662, front range dated 1773, both for the Brocklehurst family. Coursed square, sandstone rubble and sandstone dressings. Kerridge stone-slate roof. Four gable stone chimneys. Front range is symmetrical. Two-storey, three-bay Georgian house with inscription reading GAB 1773. Rear range of two-and-a-half storeys has date plaque reading GB 1662 and a mixture of windows including a two-light chamfered stone mullioned window. Interior: Appears to retain no early features (1).
