Full Description
Farmhouse. Rear range dated 1662, front range dated 1773, both for the Brocklehurst family. Coursed square, sandstone rubble and sandstone dressings. Kerridge stone-slate roof. Four gable stone chimneys. Front range is symmetrical. Two-storey, three-bay Georgian house with inscription reading GAB 1773. Rear range of two-and-a-half storeys has date plaque reading GB 1662 and a mixture of windows including a two-light chamfered stone mullioned window. Interior: Appears to retain no early features (1).
